Lewis Carroll

"To me it seems that to give happiness is a far nobler goal that to attain it: and that what we exist for is much more a matter of relations to others than a matter of individual progress: much more a matter of helping others to heaven than of getting there ourselves."

Karma

Life is all about perspective
The glass is half empty, half full
Optimism, pessimism

when life gives you lemons, make lemonade
the grass is always greener on the other side

even karma
what goes around, comes around
well it's all a play on perspective

if I do good, good will come to me
that belief, that faith
if it's kept, then hope will form
and when that hope is kept, even when bad does come your way, as long as you don't abandon your belief, you'll do good and that good will cause a hope...a hope that is good
but, when that hope is broken, and you do bad,
well when bad does come, then you'll be able to blame it on your mistake
and that mistake was made from a lack of hope

Good deeds should not be done out of a fear or anticipation of karma. That would be selfish.
Good deeds should be done out of caring and compassion for humanity.
Karma is bullshit.
Bad things happen to good people, good things happen to bad people and so on and so forth.
Karma should not even be considered when performing good deeds.

Life is all a play on perspective. It has to be, it's what gets us through the day, and add flavor with the differences.
