Lewis Carroll

"To me it seems that to give happiness is a far nobler goal that to attain it: and that what we exist for is much more a matter of relations to others than a matter of individual progress: much more a matter of helping others to heaven than of getting there ourselves."

Life is a Gamble

The more disappointment we experience,
the more chance of an overtaking hope.
The more we hate,
oh how greater the love when it comes.
But oh fear,
death is in the air,
what if your courage comes too late?

Well then you've lost in this game of life.
And you're character will be removed and forgotten.

Don't let this sad fate occur to us.
The world needs brave souls, in love and hope and peace.
And let it reject opposing greatnesses.

Lets join, to show the rest
It can happen, it will happen.
Trust me.

Wow. You set aside you addiction to Pet Society and posted something..

Anyways, when I read this post, the first that came into my head was the song by Celine Dion,'Taking chances'. Well, its true; fate changes when someone takes a chance and breaks away (like a song by Kelly Clarkson, huh? lol)
The world needs people who are brave enough to stand up against the normality. People need to be less afraid of not being able to reach a goal. But the absence of fear is not going to help much either. Us humans, we need fear to make the careful choices. However we should remain brave enough to allow fear to help us become better people.

"What do you say?" -celine dion (haha)

Absolutely agree with you on this one, mate. Knocked down? Get up and fight (metaphorically speaking)

Greetings from London.

"And let it reject opposing greatnesses."

people opposing one another typically have good reason to; well sometimes they do.

that being said, if people must rise up to be a hero, to make a difference, they will probably be against someone who must also rise up.
nobody really wins such a gamble

(hey ... are the words in your header lyrics from Muse?)

thanks, it was a fun but irritating painting. my little sister loved it, making it well worth it

why are we up this late?

thought those lyrics looked familiar, mainly 'cause i was listening to that song when i looked over here heh.
anyway -

people with similar goals will unify. however, what's good and bad is very subjective. what standards do you feel/know should be used to judge what's right?
