Lewis Carroll

"To me it seems that to give happiness is a far nobler goal that to attain it: and that what we exist for is much more a matter of relations to others than a matter of individual progress: much more a matter of helping others to heaven than of getting there ourselves."

Love

Love is the epiphany of human nature.
It connects and completes every man, woman and child.
Love itself should be embraced and not rejected.
If you want a savior, look into your heart and realize your true desires.
Love is pain's rival.

Give up your heart's prides and conceitions.
Let go of all that which rejects the people around you.
Never be content with the amount of love you give,
and you will realize the amount of love you get has increased.
Be conductable to love, or you'll turn to stone.

Don't you think pain and love somehow come together; not in a way that they are opposite, but in a way that when there's love there's also pain. I mean if you look for emo pictures on GoogleImages, you can actually see pictures with words like ,'I love too much it hurts'. But of course at first you'll think that the person who wrote that is an 'emo'. Yet, to rethink it, love makes you access the deepest part of yourself, which is very vulnerable. That way, you get hurt easily because of love, and it's painful...
Well, that was my point of view.
