Lewis Carroll

"To me it seems that to give happiness is a far nobler goal that to attain it: and that what we exist for is much more a matter of relations to others than a matter of individual progress: much more a matter of helping others to heaven than of getting there ourselves."

Self II

So who then must we be?

Individuality is beautiful.
Love is just the same.
There are many virtues in this life that we should live up to.

But specifically if we must change in order to change this world then
we must be above the system, critical thinkers and the like.

We should not abnegate, but serve our fellow humans by who we are.
We must be able to try to understand and exhibit self control.
Our curiosities should be curiosities of good and
we must be people of purpose and resolve,
for the sake of humanity.

Not always, my friend. Do not rush. Curiosity is a devilish, little sin :-). That's why the cat met that untimely death.

Greetings from London.

The system is obviously broken, so I agree, be above it. Now, how do we do that? Be critical thinkers...yes we should be. Be people of purpose and resolve...yes...most definitely, we should always strive for that.
Writing on blogs can be important, not to be belittled, especially if you know where you stand.

I had to ponder the curiosity thing a bit. And I think I understand what you're trying to say. Yes, curiosity killed the cat, but explorers must have it, so too students, philosophers, even artists. Maybe a better word could be used such as...questioning, or thirst for knowledge.

Funny thing about an ego…it at time has the ability (or choice) to form a wall around it’s self and think only of ourselves. That is how misunderstanding and troubles arise.
